There is plenty of factual information already available. Furthermore, it sounds like you have some kind of problem with family businesses. If you feel differently, then your issue is not with Bill's or SMO airport, or Santa Monica is with the FAA and the regulatory structure. This set-up is quite common in the industry. The FAA has established that a licensed A&P or IA is allowed oversee the work of assistants or even an un-trained aircraft owner. Andres' employees do not need to be licensed A&Ps. A business such as Bill's does NOT require a Part 145 certificate to operate. Next, you make the mistake of quoting regulations without fully understanding the context. The aircraft are maintained by Bill’s Air Center and I heard they aren’t an approved FAA repair station. I’m a student at the school and everyone is taking about this and how low is to jump into conclusions blaming the kid even before the investigation has even started by the NTSB.
